Rose Leitner Gestural Abstract painter
Transforming an emotional or visual concept into its abstract essence is a constant and chaotic renewal of energy.
Color, form and mood are actively pursued by the layering and removal of paint. It’s a dance that is often a direct interpretation of music or a landscape or a figure.
This interpretation is often enhanced by spontaneous exuberance guiding a painting to completion. Experimentation fuels the whole process. The result provides an interaction with the viewer: this conversation changes depending on things both physical and emotional. It is a lively dialog this gestural discussion and one that keeps me enthused for the next conversation.
